Location

Afrikania is situated in a private nature reserve where it is hosted by Bed in the Bush, a four-star African lodge on the Western border of Kruger National Park. This beautiful place with abundant wildlife including lion and elephant moving through, more than 100 species of birds, the safety, peace and tranquility, nurture the soul and inspire our work.

Bed in the Bush was designed and built by Afrikania's founder Tom Joubert. For his work here Tom first applied the Phalaborwa pattern for decoration, discovered the versatility and beauty of the pattern that inspired the application thereof to the now famous range of pottery of Afrikania.
