Various methods are used to form an item. A combination of methods ranging from basic hand work without any machines to electric potters wheels and slab rollers to presses are used to create anything imaginable - each method requiring disciplined practice to ensure the perfect shape and size required. In all instances, it is an important conversation between the potter and the clay - understanding the characteristics, limitations and opportunities of each other . . . .
